Watch "Conti" last morale (Aboagewaa) @KNUST

“Aboagewaa” as most students of KNUST mostly the students in the “conti” hall refer to this statue. The statue is believed to be the mother of morale or the God of morale for the “Conti” boys now a mixed hall at the Kwame Nkrumah University of science and technology.

This event “Aboagewaa” last morale is celebrated when there is new undergraduates (freshers) report to campus for the reopening. So this “last morale” is celebrated every year.

During the “Aboagewaa” night, the “conti” boys are seen dressed in traditional attire with powder poured all over their bodies and some on their faces, some of the guys are seen holding pots and others with the “conti” flag then they match to where “Aboagewaa” the statue is then they sit around “Aboagewaa”

Before the last morale night, “Aboagewaa” is covered with a red scarf around her neck down to her waist, also some of the scarf was tied over her head and given a Schnapps to hold in her hands. What was hilarious this year was because of the covid she was worn a nose mask.

After all these activities, then the final show is on; the “Jama” night. During all these activities when anyone is caught filming or taking pictures of the event without authorization, your phone or the device being used will be seized and castigated.
